Overlooking Stanford

"Overlooking Stanford"

Oil, 6" x 6" on canvas panel.
Sold.

We have been spending every other weekend up at Stanford watching my son swim. Although the weather has been "rainy and freezing" (which is a huge drag when you bike to morning practice in the dark), the campus has never looked more beautiful. I am so jealous ... what an incredible place to spend four great years. I painted this one in honor of all of my Stanford buddies!

Leslie,
this is so powerful that I caught my breath when I opened it. Strong harmony and composition. SLAM DUNK!

Overlooking Stanford - great drama which pays off. It's the contrast of the mauve and orange I think but also the confident brush (knife?) strokes. Phew, takes your breath away.
