I also thought I would try to include close-ups of my paintings as I get a lot of requests for more details of my knife work.
I am hiding out in my office and studio today. We are filming a commercial for "Capital One" tomorrow which is a good thing because it forced me to get rid of all of my holiday decorations! In fact, the Christmas lights on the house are coming down today. There is a crew here today "prepping" for the commercial. Would you believe they are putting up Halloween decorations everywhere? In January? And I just found out they are going to be throwing eggs at my front door tomorrow. Really?
Leslie, Really like this! Great subject matter and fun to see...love the colors! Your palatte knife work is amazing.
ReplyDeleteNow those are the kind of leftovers I can really enjoy! Beautiful job with this one Leslie. I bet the graphic quality will make it visually leap off the wall and into the hands of a collector.
ReplyDeleteBTW - I just read your goals for the year and wow - I am impressed.
I especially like the cropped composition of this one Leslie!
ReplyDeleteAnd good luck with the photo shoot- FYI, egg albumen requires special enzyme cleaners, but I'm sure they know that (right???)
Thanks Kathy and Kim - There's something about painting wine bottles with a palette knife that I just love. And I think Aliz Crim is my new favorite color this week. Add some orange and I love the result!
ReplyDeleteFaye - I did another painting like this with a lot more wine bottles nad I like the sropped composition too!
ReplyDeleteI did not know abot the special cleaners for eggs when thrwn at the house ... I just hope these guys filming the commercial have a clue!
What a beautiful painting Leslie. I love the color and the way you use the palette knife..great job!
ReplyDeleteFun piece cheers!
ReplyDeleteReading your goals for 2011, wow girl I will give you a medal.
Have the guys filming the commercial to bring new door. LOL.
