God Bless America

Any Place in America Oil, 6" x 8"
This painting is for sale.
Today's painting was inspired by a photo from Becky at Walla Walla Valley Daily Photo. Here is a link to the photograph.
I have been eying this photo for a few days as I like the simplified look and it just reminds me of all of the great places that exist in our wonderful country. I painted the painting while listening to the inauguration (thanks to tivo) and really like how it came out. Regardless of one's political party affiliation, today was a big day in America. Thanks Becky for letting me use the photo!

I have been encouraging my three boys to post on my blog. Although this recent post was not exactly my intention, it is nice to see they listen ...

Haha! I love your son's comment. I recommend "Imagine! Whirled Peace" by Ben & Jerry. ;)

This is a beautiful painting! You did a wonderful job and I just love the warmth you gave the image. Lovely.
