Now that I am officially "in the holiday spirit" I decided to make an attempt at painting my "annual holiday painting". This is the painting that will appear in many places, including our Holiday Party invitation (ah yes ... that's the party I cook for three straight weeks ...).I had wanted to paint a wrapped gift so I have been out searching for polka dot wrapping paper all week. I found this paper yesterday at Paper Source and thought it might make a fun painting.
I had a blast painting this and in fact, I loved painting it so much I am going to do an entire series of wrapped gifts for the holidays. And maybe in to the New Year. So ... stay tuned ...

Thanks guys! I have been searching the house for boxes all afternoon ... wrapping and tying bows ... so now I am ready to paint more. This is fun!
Leave it to you to come up with such an ADORABLE painting! OK, first I might move to CA, and your neighborhood JUST to get on the list for that party! And second, I love the idea of the painted gifts. What a 'gift' that would make!
ma che piacevole sorpresa...mi mette tanta curiosità!
WOW.... I think you've got something here!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, Leslie!!!
Ok ... more polka dot packages coming ... starting with orange and white ... then red and white with a green bow! This is so fun (gee ... maybe I really needed a "break from boats").
