12 Days of Christmas - Day 12

It's hard to believe tomorrow is the last day of the Twelve Days of Christmas giveaway. This has been a lot of fun and thank you to the hundreds of you that have participated in the fun.

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed all of your stories about Christmas traditions. There were so many  traditions that I absolutely loved! Our family has many holiday traditions ... our Christmas party, the boys playing hide and go seek at the Christmas tree lot, watching the Citrus Singers, piling in the car in our jammies on Christmas Eve to see the lights on St. Albans, Dave reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas" on the night before Christmas and making my mom's Overnight Sausage Casserole on Christmas morning. All of these traditions were started in our family many years ago and hold strong ever year. Our boys may be taller and older but these special moments will be with us forever. Thanks to each of you for sharing so many wonderful stories.

The winner of the 11th Day Giveaway is Paula Riley. Paula is the winner of one of my cookbooks. There aren't many copies out there so I hope you will enjoy it! Send me your address and I will mail it to you. I just ordered some cookbooks and they will be here in mid-January.

The 12th Day giveaway prize is one of my original oil paintings.

"Ready for the New Year"
Oil, 11" x 14"

It is featured here and it is an 11" x 14" oil painting. I will frame it and of course ship it to the winner. If you would like to have a chance to win the painting, my request is simple. I am a true believer that as artists we all need to think about giving back. We need to do everything we can to help our fellow artists.  That's why my radio show is named "Artists Helping Artists".

I am looking for suggestions as to how we can all help our fellow artists. So to be eligible for the final giveaway leave your suggestions here. What do you think is a great way to help a fellow artist? Share your ideas on my blog or on any of my facebook pages. And you are welcome to make as many suggestions as you want if you would like to increase your chances to win. The winner will be announced on Christmas Day.

Check out my remodel blog for our new beach house in Ventura, Ca. I am now teaching workshops at the beach. Come stay and paint with me! I have workshops scheduled in the next twelve months in South Pasadena, Ventura Beach, Newport Beach, Charlotte, NC, and Atlanta, Ga. Click here for more information!

Painting with an artist friend one day a week is a great way to help each other! I'm so fortunate to have a great friend in my neighborhood that I paint with. She has a great artist "eye" and her input is invaluable!

I'm grateful for the kick up the butt you give me every time you run a promo on your blog.

In January 2013 you gave me the incentive to jump into the fray with your 30 in 30. I decided on ACEO, completed 30 and sold most of them. I was very pleased to do so well in a traditionally slow month. The momentum carried right through to record breaking months in July and November.

Now I'm looking forward to the next 30 in 30 next month. There are plenty more records to be broken. And who says Art doesn't sell?
