Must be a School Day

Must Be a School Day Oil, 8" x 10"
I went back to my comfort level and painted another boat painting. I absolutely love this one and I must say that this photograph does not do it justice. This painting (titled "Must Be a School Day") will be for sale at Whites Gallery in Montrose. I am participating in the New Member Show for the Pasadena Society of Artists which takes place from January 20 - 28.
I also wanted to thank so many of you for the photos - keep them coming! There are so many fantastic options and I am so excited to create paintings using many of them ... not just one!

I really likke your sailboat paintings. Why is it that you like to paint boats? Are you a sailor?

I saw this painting at White's Gallery - it is in the window by the way - and it is fantastic! I love your knife work. It is amazing you get so much detail with a knife. And I love that you "scratch in" your signature. A nice touch!
