Oil, Canvas Panel, 11" x 14"
One of my favorite restaurants at the Grand Wailea on Maui is called Humu Humu. Which is short for humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa. I can't imagine why they shortened the name ... Anyway, they have wonderful food (including an amazing mud pie) and the view is spectacular. I actually snuck in the restaurant yesterday morning at about 5:30 am and took a picture of this view. Absolutely stunning!

I have been there Leslie and you really captured it...fun story too!
I am lovin' your Hawaii paintings! Makes me feel like I am on vacation....!
You're making me so nostalgic!
This is really beautiful Leslie, the calm sea and wind -palm trees are not moving-, the blue you used, everything is so appealing and attractive... can't wait to see more :)
Best regards,
Carolina
Wow! So beautiful! I spent 2 weeks on Maui when I was in my 20's--a fantastic island. When I got home, I had a humu..humu..n.n.a. in our salt water tank for years.
Your lush painting brings back good memories of fun times!
Can't imagine why they thought they had to shorten the name - beautiful painting of really beautiful place - never been there so thanks for bringing it here.
