Boats at Hvar

"Boats at Hvar"
6" x 6" on canvas panel.

It seems as if I have been on the road forever ... but I am pleased to say that we are now home for a long time! Our oldest is all "tucked away" at college and now I am back in my studio!
One of my favorite stops on our cruise was in Hvar, Croatia. It is truly a beautiful spot and I took hundreds of pictures of boats. The water was so blue and clear so we took a small boat ride around the many outside islands. Enjoy!

Leslie, this is a gorgeous painting. I love the application of paint, too.

Congrats on getting a kiddo off to school. It is wrenching, isn't it?

Glad you're back and settling in, Leslie.

More beautiful boats... I'll bet you had some fabulous food in Croatia as well!!!

Sounds like you had an absolutely wonderful time. My wife and I have been to Dubrovnik, Croatia, and we really loved it. Beautiful painting, Leslie, I look forward to seeing more.

What a lovely painting! I am really thrilled by the minimal number of strokes you have here. In addition to being a beautiful painting, with such a sense of gentleness, a quiet, sunny day on the water, the decisiveness of your painting is really impressive. I've been using a palette knife for a few months now, and while I love it, I am still learning to use it well - I can learn from you, I see!
