Boat Reflections, Oil
I probably should have just scraped this one off but I tried to crop it instead to make it look better. Unfotunately I don't have more time to paint today ... so this one is going to have to go on the blog. The colors got away from me and kind of went wild ... oh well ...

Wow! Vibrant! It's really taking on a wonderful abstract quality. Wild's okay! :-)
Honest to god this is one of my favorites.
Leslie, I love this painting! The colors are
stunning, great composition! The intensity makes a dramatic statement! Don't even think about scraping it!
Beautiful. You nail the reflections every time!
You may think the colors got away from you...but i think this is great!
Leslie, The aqua and orange work so well together. Beautiful!
Just a killer painting! Don't touch it again.
Liz, Irit, Nancy, Julie, Pam, Karen and Carol - I don't get it! Are you guys just being nice? Or what? Maybe I spent too much time on this one and I was expecting more? Uggghhh ...
it is very good to see strong bruches expressing a very senssitiv view of the light.
you are a amaizing paiter.
if one day you visit my blog ,i hope you enjoy as much i did visiting yours.
thank you.
I am loving where the colors went! I agree with all of the above - don't touch it!!!
This is really not the disaster you make it out to be, Leslie. Good comp and colors. Excellent execution. As always your knifework is top notch. Also like those bits of toned canvas peeking through. :)
Ok. I admit I must have been wrong. I will keep staring at this painting until I like it. I promise!
Bill - I know you know that you were the one who gave the "push" to underpaint my canvas panels!
I looked at this painting and went WOW, and then I read your text and thought, I guess I still have a lot to learn about colours and such. But I still love it!
Maybe you think the colors got away from you, maybe they are not typical for you, but I find this to be interesting. No...I wouldn't scrape...I would be happy with it!
Leslie...
Why would you want to do anything with it... It's great!
I love the way the water looks... Sure wish I could paint with a knife like you do.
So is your show up now????
They ARE wild colors, but I love 'em.
AHHH - the auqa boat is cool !
Somehow I missed this one. I love it. The colors are so vibrant. I am glad you did not scrape this!
Leslie!
You're right. The colors did get away from you and went a bit wild.
But it's still neat looking though!
