Is it Finally Summer?
I finally feel that summer is here. Ok, it has been raining in Los Angeles all day, but with finals, graduation, and my birthday party behind us, it is time to relax and start enjoying the summer! Yippee!

Leslie--Absolutely love your use of color. It makes me happy when I look at your work--happy is a priceless commodity!
I am so excited to have discovered your paintings! I am inspired by the way you approach your work and paint in such a wonderfully fresh style. I have been painting all of my life(mostly realistic, contrived, and overworked) and I am trying to reach where you after 5 years or so of painting. I especially love the rendering of the 50 boats. Boats and urban scenes are some of my favorite subjects.
Do you start with a color coated, textured canvas or just dive right in? Great work!!!!!
Everyone above is right... I think it's your use of color and freshness that makes your work so appealing!
Leslie - I'd love to have you as my featured artist on my blog, let me know if that's OK with you!
Another beautiful piece - love how the blue pops!
I like the shot of lime color in this painting. Yes, summer seems the best time isnt it? love this time of year!
Gotta love that juicy paint!
All those gift paintings look awesome.
Would be great if you could do a step by step demo some day. I think I read before that you premix your paint, is that right?
Yes, Leslie, it IS finally summer, and we can breathe a sigh of relief!! I'm sure you feel like you've just completed a marathon with graduation and the birthday project and party thrown in on top of May. Congrats on the fabulous body of work you did for your friends. I may take a page from your book on that one! (but for my 40th....:))
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! With all of my love!! - ml
