Sold.
Today's winner of the free "Headlines" book is the #5 comment from Kim Rempel. Congrats Kim!
Thanks again for all of your comments. This has been such a great week and I absolutely love giving away gifts every day!
Today's gift is a $100 gift certificate that can be used toward a painting or one of my prints from Imagekind. And then Tuesday will be the big giveaway ...
I painted flowers all day long today and this is my favorite so far. I am not a huge fan of carnations but I do like this painting. And you all know orange is my new favorite color. Who would have thought!
I am also pleased to announce that I am part of a new daily painting group called Daily Painter Originals. Check out the new site as the artists are wonderful.

went to a plein air workshop this weekend and pulled out the palette knife to give it a whirl. lots of fun but realize there's a lot more to painting with knives then I thought. could you recommend a book or website (besides yours if course) to help with the learning process? love today's painting!

Thanks everyone for the nice comments! I am going to be so lonely when my free giveaways are over!
Chris - I don't really know of any palette knife books or websites. But I will do some internet searching and see what I can come up with. You might also want to check out my workshop which will be held in Southern California this September. Check back on my blog later this week for all of the information.

Wow, these colors and juicy pedals are wonderful. The painting leapt off my computer screen! I really enjoyed listening to your blog radio too, I didn't even know this existed! How fun!

Carnations are not easy to paint, but you have done a fabulous painting using the palette knife.
Also wanted to say that I have started to listen to some past calls on your 'Artists helping artists' blog talk radio and am really enjoying the information. I have been listening to it while I paint and when I hear an idea that resonates with me I grab a pen and paper and jot it down.
Happy Birthday today, June 8!
Thanks
Kim

I just read some information from another palette artist, Camille Przewodek and she mentions books by Hawthorn and Hensche. I thought you'd need a bunch of different knives but maybe only a few will do? Simple clean up too! I'll be watching for your workshop.
