Life is wonderful. I am caught up on sleep and have really enjoyed taking daily beach walks.  They have been so invigorating! We found a new restaurant last night in Ventura called LURE which was fabulous. I am, of course, painting every day (although without my "small palette knife") and loving it. The weather here has been great but I hesitate to brag about the weather as I know the midwest/east weather is terrible. I am truly sorry. And I pray that everyone can stay warm during the arctic storm and freezing temperatures.

2014 is already shaping up to be a great year. Every morning I wake up and realize how thankful I am for my health, family and friends. I love being an artist and feel blessed to be able to enjoy what I do every day.

Today's painting was something I painted from memory. Personally I think it looks a bit like a combination of four or five paintings I have previously painted. When I paint from memory I find this happens a lot! I opted to go green instead of blue as I like the complementary colors. I am not thrilled with the photo as I took the photo with my iphone. I think my 35mm camera must be sitting next to my small palette knives back home.

There have been some wonderful comments posted here on my blog from many of you. I am so happy to read that traffic to your blogs and websites is way up. And all of the stories about sales are fantastic! All of this great news just makes me smile. Congrats to all of you.

We are now renting our beach house in Ventura. Check out my new website for photos and rental information about the beach house. I am now teaching workshops at the beach too. Come stay and paint with me! I have workshops scheduled in the next twelve months in South Pasadena, Ventura Beach, Newport Beach, Charlotte, NC, and Atlanta, Ga. Click here for more information!
