Keeping On Your Toes

As a mother of three boys sometimes I find the need to paint really "girlie" things. There is something about dancers that intrigues me. This is the second painting I have done of ballet slippers. I know the colors are a bit dull, but I like it anyway!

Very cool.
I love the unusual view of this painting. And the way it sparkles out from the background and subtly sort of draws you in.
From the thumbnail on my website I was thinking it was the trunks of birches.. but this is just absolutely lovely!
