A year ago I painted a rooster and I really liked how it turned out. So I tried a different version today. It's funny ... but after looking at this guy closely I came to realize that roosters are really strange looking! Colorful, but odd ...

Great skill Leslie I like this piece a lot well done.
Keith
I love to enlarge your paintings. The knife strokes are wonderful!
the broken color on the body is good--what a nice painting!
Ben, Keith, Dana and Sandra - Thanks so much. Glad you like my rooster. I do too! I am going to try another rooster later in the week and break up the brush strokes a bit. This one was really fun to paint.
Love the thick application of paint and all the color on the fine gentleman! Nice job!
Well done, energetic work!
Me gusta mucho, muy fovista.Pero creo que con las patas estaria mejor. It likes me a lot. Matisse could have painted, but I think with its legs would be best

Leslie, I love him! Great job! Yes, my palette is limited. I've been using Carol Marine's.
It's so colorful, nice painting...
Perhaps... but you paint them so well, I'm sure someone will welcome one into their home!!!
He's wonderful! And your knife work goes so well with this subject too.
Sorry I haven't been around, my life has been keeping me from the blog o' sphere.
