You will need to click on to this picture to see the wild palette knife strokes in this one. I find that I rarely use these reds and I know I should do it more often. The aliz crimson (red) is such a powerful and fun color to use. I should consider adding it to my limited palette!

Rooster III
Pin It
We spent another day at the CIF Swimming Championships but this time it was all of the top finishers from four divisions combined in to a Masters meet. Fortunately my son had more victories and record breaking swims. Sadly, we are now finished with high school swimming. Although I will miss it terribly, I am really excited to follow his college swimming career! Lots to look forward to!

wooo...energetic marks! I love 'liz criz' as we used to call it in school. great transparent red. This is wonderful. Congrats on your son's successful ending of his high school swim career...onward and upward, huh!
These certainly are interesting and beautiful reds for a rooster, and that greenish 'glare' on the neck, awsome.
Congratulations to you, proud mother of a swimming winner!
woah - this one is incredible! I love your technique. Fabulous!
Wow...beautiful color and so lively! Alizarin crimson is a favorite of mine. You have used it nicely here!
Fun colors, really! A vivid picture.
Love the palette on this one. It is fun to get out of our color "boxes" once in a while. Congrats to your son!
ohhh this is so nice and rich...love it. Yes, that crimson is great to use! I use it as a cool version of red alongside my warmer cad red....
I loved looking at this one "close up" Leslie... Such fun!
The palette knife makes such an interesting - almost abstract - look!!
That is a colorful rooster!
Leslie, The colors are gorgeous! What a warm and lucious palette.
Come get your award...
You have the best chicken paintings!!
I'm giving you the Noblesse Oblige award today, too. :)
