Free Birthday Giveaway - Day #1

Today officially starts my "birthday week". And I have always believed it is way more fun to give presents than to receive them! Some of you may remember that last year I painted 27 6" x 6" paintings in three days and gave one to each couple attending my 50th birthday party (see photo above). It was really fun, but I wish I would have thought of the idea farther in advance (like maybe even five days ...). Painting twenty-seven paintings in three days was a marathon!
So this year, I have decided to give something away for free for the seven days leading up to my birthday. Today will award two packs of notecards (12 total - value $36.00) to one of you that leaves a comment on my blog. And no birthday wishes ... I have a week until my birthday!
One more thing ... all blog posts this week will be eligible for the free painting giveaway (next Tuesday!) so the more you post ... the better chance you have!

Sam and Jack just finished their 12 month check up. Sam has a double ear infection, and they both got four shots and a blood draw each! I bet a picture of a sunflower would brighten their day! And Happy Birthday!

Hey Leslie,

What a generous and talented woman you are! I must throw my hat into the ring as I love your paintings. I'm the proud owner of Eiffel and a few of your quality cards. I would have purchased Banana Boat - but someone else beat me to it :( Have a good week,

Kelly, Vancouver

Cannot imagine painting that many paintings in 3 days! Planning to check in with the radio show today. Hope you enjoy your "special day" next week. And thanks for blessing us with your generous gifting of notecards and paintings!

Leslie, Great idea! We do something similar, whomever has a birthday, bakes a cake to serve everyone else.

How many people do you have running around in your head to come up with so many great ideas? Great paintings. So glad I wasn't around last year, I would have just tried to keep up but it would have been in vain. Happy painting.

WOW!! I must say, that is a remarkable thing to do..You certainly love your friends and what lucky friends to have you..Now I could say that I would rather give than receive on my birthday..but that just wouldn't be the truth. That is my special day..However I love to give at Christmas if that counts..Your work is unique & very beautiful!!
